Inspired by the Very Short Introduction series by Oxford University Press, the brief was to redesign three covers from the collection. I selected three titles with an environmental theme: Mountains, Oceans, and Forests.
In the early stages of the project, I explored colour palettes that best represented each landscape and experimented with visual ideas including layering, texture, and perspective. I wanted each cover to capture the essence of the subject while remaining visually cohesive as a set.

Exploring Materiality
I explored materiality and textures to reflect the themes of each title:
Forest: leaf printing to echo natural textures
Mountains: stone rubbing to suggest solidity and age
Oceans: expressive ink drawing to reflect movement and fluidity
The final designs combine tactile elements with typography, creating a set of covers that are both distinctive from each other and yet thematically unified.
